1. Introduction and Scope
1.1 These General Terms and Conditions (the โTermsโ) govern participation in the EU-BOOKING.COM initiative (the โInitiativeโ), accessible via eu-booking.com and related digital platforms operated by Hotel.eu.
1.2 The Initiative is designed not only as a promotional and reward-based program for eligible participants making qualifying bookings, but also as part of a broader objective to strengthen European economic autonomy within the travel sector. By encouraging direct participation through European-operated platforms, the Initiative aims to contribute to retaining a greater share of value within Europe and supporting the long-term sustainability and accessibility of the European hospitality ecosystem.
1.3 By accessing, registering for or otherwise participating in the Initiative, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be legally bound by these Terms.
1.4 Participation is conditional upon full acceptance of these Terms. If you do not agree with any provision herein, you must refrain from accessing or participating in the Initiative.
2. Definitions
For the purposes of these Terms:
- โParticipantโ means any individual meeting the eligibility criteria who takes part in the Initiative.
- โQualifying Bookingโ means a booking made via eu-booking.com in accordance with these Terms.
- โRewardโ means the benefit accrued by a Participant, calculated as a percentage of eligible bookings.
- โVoucherโ means a digital or monetary representation of accrued Rewards, subject to redemption conditions.
- โPlatformโ refers collectively to eu-booking.com, app.hotel.eu, and affiliated Hotel.eu services.
3. Eligibility
3.1 Participation is limited to individuals aged 18 years or older at the time of booking, with legal capacity to enter into binding agreements.
3.2 The following individuals are excluded from participation:
- Employees, officers and contractors of Hotel.eu or its affiliates;
- Immediate family members or persons residing in the same household as such individuals;
- Employees or representatives of hotels listed on the Platform, with respect to bookings involving their affiliated property.
3.3 Hotel.eu reserves the right to verify eligibility at any time and may suspend or terminate participation where eligibility criteria are not met.
4. Initiative Period and Availability
4.1 The Initiative applies exclusively to bookings made on or after March 23, 2026, at 00:00 CET.
4.2 Hotel.eu may, at its sole discretion, limit, extend, suspend or discontinue the Initiative without prior notice.
4.3 Participation is subject to availability and may be restricted geographically, technically or operationally.
5. Participation Mechanics
5.1 A Participant becomes eligible for Rewards upon completing a Qualifying Booking through the Platform.
5.2 Rewards are calculated as 3.5% of the value of subsequent qualifying bookings made by third parties at the same hotel.
5.3 Rewards accrue only after:
- The subsequent booking is fully paid; and
- The stay has been completed without cancellation or dispute.
5.4 Rewards have no independent monetary value until converted into Vouchers in accordance with these Terms.
5.5 Hotel.eu retains full discretion in determining eligibility of bookings for Reward calculation, including exclusion of fraudulent, cancelled, or disputed transactions.
6. Account Registration and Management
6.1 To access Rewards and Vouchers, Participants must create and maintain an account via app.hotel.eu.
6.2 Participants are responsible for:
- Maintaining the confidentiality of account credentials;
- Ensuring that account information remains accurate and up to date;
- All activity conducted through their account.
6.3 Hotel.eu shall not be liable for unauthorized access resulting from the Participantโs failure to secure their account.
7. Voucher Issuance and Redemption
7.1 Rewards are reflected as a balance within the Participantโs account and may be converted into Vouchers upon request.
7.2 Conversion requests must be submitted via email to hotel@hotel.eu, specifying:
- The amount to be converted;
- The type of Voucher requested (hotel or flight).
7.3 Hotel Vouchers:
- Are issued as digital codes;
- May be redeemed during checkout on eligible Hotel.eu booking platforms;
- Are subject to availability and specific booking conditions.
7.4 Flight Vouchers:
- Are issued via bank transfer to the Participant;
- Require accurate banking details provided by the Participant.
7.5 Vouchers:
- Are non-transferable and may not be sold or assigned;
- Cannot be exchanged for cash except where explicitly permitted;
- May be subject to expiration periods or additional conditions communicated at issuance.
8. First-Come, First-Served Allocation
8.1 Rewards associated with a specific hotel under the Initiative are allocated exclusively to the first Participant who completes a valid and confirmed Qualifying Booking for that hotel (the โInitial Participantโ).
8.2 Upon such confirmation, the hotel shall be deemed โallocated,โ and no other Participant shall be entitled to earn Rewards derived from bookings at that same hotel.
8.3 In the event that a Participant attempts to make a Qualifying Booking for a hotel that has already been allocated to another Participant, such Participant shall not acquire any rights to Rewards in connection with that hotel.
8.4 Notwithstanding the foregoing, a Participant described in Clause 8.3 shall be entitled to select an alternative hotel listed on the Platform, which has not yet been allocated, in order to participate in the Initiative and earn Rewards.
8.5 The selection of an alternative hotel remains subject to availability, eligibility and confirmation of a valid Qualifying Booking in accordance with these Terms.
8.6 Hotel.eu does not guarantee the availability of unallocated hotels and shall not be liable in the event that a Participant is unable to secure a hotel eligible for Reward allocation.
8.7 All determinations regarding hotel allocation, availability and eligibility under this Article shall be made by Hotel.eu at its sole discretion and shall be final and binding.
9. Sustainability and Accessibility Commitment
9.1 Hotel.eu allocates 6.5% of the value of bookings made under the Initiative toward sustainability and accessibility initiatives.
9.2 These contributions are managed independently of Participant Rewards and do not affect Reward calculations.
9.3 Hotel.eu does not guarantee specific outcomes or results from such initiatives.
10. Booking Conditions
10.1 All bookings must be made directly through eu-booking.com to qualify.
10.2 Standard Hotel.eu booking terms, including cancellation, refund and modification policies, apply in addition to these Terms.
10.3 Rewards are only credited after completion of the stay and final confirmation of the booking.
10.4 Participants bear full responsibility for ensuring the accuracy of booking details.
11. Prohibited Conduct
11.1 Participants agree not to:
- Engage in fraudulent or deceptive practices;
- Manipulate bookings for artificial Reward generation;
- Use automated systems or bots to participate;
- Violate applicable laws or third-party rights.
11.2 Hotel.eu reserves the right to investigate suspected misconduct and take appropriate action, including:
- Suspension or termination of accounts;
- Revocation of Rewards or Vouchers;
- Legal action where applicable.
12. Data Protection
12.1 Personal data is processed in accordance with applicable data protection laws, including the GDPR.
12.2 Data is collected and used solely for:
- Administration of the Initiative;
- Reward processing and communication;
- Compliance with legal obligations.
12.3 Participants may exercise their data rights as outlined in the applicable privacy policies.
13. Limitation of Liability
13.1 To the fullest extent permitted by law, Hotel.eu excludes liability for:
- Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages;
- Loss of profits, revenue, or opportunity;
- Travel disruptions, cancellations, or service issues.
13.2 Hotel.eu does not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation of the Platform.
13.3 Nothing in these Terms shall exclude liability where such exclusion is prohibited by law.
14. Intellectual Property
14.1 All intellectual property rights associated with the Initiative remain the exclusive property of Hotel.eu or its licensors.
14.2 No rights are granted to Participants except as strictly necessary for participation.
15. Modification and Termination
15.1 Hotel.eu reserves the right to amend these Terms at any time.
15.2 Changes become effective upon publication on the Platform.
15.3 Continued participation constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
15.4 Hotel.eu may suspend or terminate the Initiative or individual participation at its sole discretion.
16. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
16.1 These Terms are governed by the laws of France.
16.2 Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of France.
