56th Republic anniversary under the theme, “Expressing Our Culture Through Innovation and Creativity.”

In a celebration of national pride and unity, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Hon. Hugh Todd, Chief Investment Officer for Guyana and Agency Head of the Guyana Office for Investment, Hon. Peter Ramsaroop, MP, and National Security Advisor, Captain Gerald Gouveia, today attended the annual Republic Day flag-raising ceremony in Region Ten (Upper Demerara–Berbice).

The event is part of a series of flag-raising observances being held across all administrative regions of Guyana, forming a coordinated national programme ahead of the official Republic Day celebrations on Monday, February 23. These observances are intended to bring the spirit of Republic Day to communities across the country.

The ceremony in Region Ten featured a formal march-past and the hoisting of the Golden Arrowhead, in keeping with the longstanding tradition observed annually in the lead-up to Republic Day, as Guyana marks its 56th Republic anniversary under the theme, “Expressing Our Culture Through Innovation and Creativity.”
