Medical tourism is often surrounded by myths, simplified narratives and sometimes unrealistic expectations. At ITB Berlin this week

Medical tourism is often surrounded by myths, simplified narratives and sometimes unrealistic expectations.
At ITB Berlin this week, I had the opportunity to discuss this during the panel “The Reality of Medical Tourism: Breaking Myths”
It was a valuable discussion about what medical tourism actually is today — its opportunities, its challenges, and the responsibility we all share in shaping a more transparent, ethical and quality-driven sector.
Beyond the panel, these events always remind me that the real value lies in the conversations: reconnecting with colleagues, exchanging ideas and meeting people who are genuinely committed to the future of health tourism.
I’m also delighted to be part of the EHMTA team, working together to continue advancing the sector and its shared goals.
Thank you to everyone who contributed to such an interesting discussion at ITB Berlin.
