Spring is really busy for Budapest in the world of hashtag , MICE and premium tourism.

Krisztina Henyecz : Spring is really busy for Budapest in the world of hashtag#MICE and premium tourism.
In recent days, Europe Congress hashtag#EventsClubAssociationsForum, now Global Luxury Travel | Travel Exibition, and in the coming weeks, Alts hashtag#AmadeusLuxuryTravelSummit and Connections hashtag#Luxury will bring decision-makers of the international event market and the luxury travel segment to Budapest.

What is really important to me in these events is the direction that we see more and more clearly in tourism: the emphasis is on hashtag#minőségen, not on quantity.

Premium travel is now much more about personalized, hashtag#tailormade experiences. Moments that travelers will cherish for a lifetime: moments of beauty, the joy of discovery, and the connections that bind them to a destination.

Hungary is ready to offer such experiences.

IBTM World 2025 – Barcelona

This year’s IBTM Events Barcelona was special for us: the Visit Hungary represented Hungary with a larger professional team than ever before. In addition to the Budapest Convention Bureau, 26 domestic service providers joined the national stand – conference venues, hotels, DMCs and technology partners.

This is no longer just a presence, but a real industry collaboration.
On the first day, it was clear how strong the international interest was: the BUDCB negotiation calendar was filled almost immediately. It is a good feeling to see that the attention to the Hungarian MICE offer is constantly growing, and more and more partners are looking for opportunities for cooperation.

This year’s motto of the event is “People. Power. Potential.” – was especially apt this year. The power of personal meetings, professional relationships and the opportunities inherent in them determined the entire three days. And this is exactly what we represent: Hungary as a modern, reliable, inspiring business event destination.

I would like to thank all our partners – and last but not least my colleagues Ildikó Lippai, Máté Terjék, Nora Lili Kecskes, Fanni Kovács, Lilianna Bán, Barbara Török, Szilvia Horváth – for joining us in Barcelona, and Bianka Kecskemethy for the excellent preparation. This joint work will move the Hungarian MICE sector forward – and based on the conversations, I am sure that many new projects and collaborations will start from these meetings!
