I am optimistic about the technology-based future of Bangladesh.

——Sabur Khan : Chairman at Daffodil International University

Hon’ble Prime Minister Mr. Tarique Rahman visited the pavilion of Daffodil Computers (DCL) at the Semiconductor Symposium and BEAR Summit 2026. I am happy to have had the opportunity to exchange views with him on technology, innovation and skilled human resource development in Bangladesh.

In particular, I highlight the efforts of our students to create innovative projects, AI-based solutions, and technology-based solutions to real problems. The Hon’ble Prime Minister very sincerely encouraged the innovation of the students and expressed her strong interest in continuing such initiatives.

I feel, the Hon’ble Prime Minister has realised that our young innovators and start-ups are capable of creating effective technological solutions for many complex and expensive schemes of the government at a much lower cost. He has taken such student-led innovations very positively and expressed his willingness to take them forward.

His curiosity, eagerness to learn and his leadership qualities are undoubtedly a great inspiration for the young innovators and entrepreneurs of the country.

“It’s only been five months,” he replied with a smile. I’m trying my best. Give me a little more time, Inshallah we will succeed. ”
He appreciated DCL’s “Made in Bangladesh” laptop and technology manufacturing initiatives and put emphasis on promoting indigenous technology products in the world market.

At that time, I invited him to visit the factory of Daffodil Computers at Kaliakoir Hi-Tech Park, which he accepted positively. At the same time, I also proposed to reactivate the Prime Minister’s ICT Task Force to make the country’s technology sector more dynamic. In the past (2002-2003), I had the opportunity to serve as a member of this task force. The Hon’ble Prime Minister assured to consider the matter positively.

I believe that the combined efforts of the government, university and industry will transform Bangladesh into an innovation-based, technology-based and knowledge-based econom
