“The best thing to do is to rename the Volkshalle tonight the ‘Strong Women’ Hall.”
With this sentence, City Councillor Barbara Novak, MA opened the evening in Vienna City Hall – and hit the mood in the room pretty much exactly.
Where politics is usually made, around 300 women (and a few courageous men) gathered that evening โ with competence, entrepreneurial power and a clear claim to shape our economy.
The hashtag#Minerva Award from sheconomy, named after the Greek goddess of wisdom and craftsmanship, is much more than an award.
It bundles what is otherwise often seen too little: female performance, leadership and future competence.
Seven categories, countless impressive personalities โ and a room full of energy, courage and creative drive. Or, as KRISTIN HANUSCH-LINSER put it:
“Women are not a temporary solution. No repair measure.
They are crucial for the future.”
For the fifth time, Sheconomy showed in a festive setting how it can be done: With networks, funding โ and the clear will not only to discuss change, but to implement it.
There was dancing, laughing, shedding a little tear in the face of many a speech, and a lot of discussion with each other.
