It was a true honour to present the AI Project of the Year award to Carne Group on behalf of Technology Ireland DIGITAL Skillnet at the The Analytics Institute & AI Awards 2026.
The The Analytics Institute creates a fantastic platform to recognise and celebrate the organisations doing highly impressive work in data and AI, and last night was a brilliant example of exactly that.
Technology Ireland DIGITAL Skillnet plays a vital role in this ecosystem, providing the funding and training that enables organisations across Ireland to build real AI capability, which makes their sponsorship of this award particularly fitting.
Research consistently shows that while AI adoption is now near universal, meaningful implementation remains the exception, and that gap between experimenting with AI and operationalising it at scale is exactly where my work in the Co-Creation team at Version 1 sits. Our people-led approach to AI adoption is built on the belief that technology only delivers when the humans using it are brought on the journey.
What Carne Group built with CAMDA AI Ristotle is a compelling example of what closing that gap actually looks like, with production-grade AI embedded into a governed, metadata-driven framework already reducing complex legal reviews from hours to minutes and scaling across high-volume workflows.
Seeing work of that quality recognised on a national stage is a reminder of why this kind of celebration matters. Congratulations to the entire Carne Group Data and AI team on a thoroughly deserved win.
