Three programs, three journeys, the same sense of accomplishment đ! The exciting moment of a Graduation Day!
Yesterday was Porto Business School MBA’s Graduation Ceremony. There’s a moment every graduation where I stop being Program Director for a second and just become someone watching people I’ve come to know very well walk across a stage to get a diploma. Yesterday was that moment again.
11-15 months. That’s the length of the International MBA. In practice, 11-15 months of pressure, dedication, learning and hard work, but also companionship and a lot of fun. But I get a front-row seat to something most people don’t see: the distance between who someone is on orientation day and who they are at the end of the program. New confidence. New clarity. New ambition. New ways of thinking about problems and about themselves. It’s the part of this program that never stops being remarkable to watch. Old me – new me, something I see but also something I felt myself 20 years ago when I too did my MBA at Porto Business School.
To this IMBA class: the dedication was real, the growth was real, the friendships were real, and the memories you built together will be with you through life. Thank you for putting in the work and for pulling each other (and us!) along the way!
