The 36th edition of Portugal’s largest tourism fair is taking place at the FIL – Parque das Nações and is set to be the biggest edition ever with over 1,700 exhibitors.

The fair is divided into professional-only days and general public days:
- Professional Days: 25 and 26 February (Wednesday & Thursday).
- General Public Days: 27 February to 1 March (Friday to Sunday).

Tourism Portugal is participating in the 36th edition of the Better Tourism Lisbon Travel Market (BTL) 2026 with a program focused on internationalization, sustainability, and innovation , aiming to strengthen the destination’s position in strategic markets. The participation includes its own agenda of initiatives, as well as opportunities to participate in sessions promoted by industry partners.
Exhibition space affirms Portugal as the “Stage of the World”

In Pavilion 1, Turismo de Portugal occupies an area of 216 m² dedicated to promoting major events planned for the different regions between 2026 and 2028. The space highlights the country’s capacity to host international events and includes gastronomic offerings provided by three Turismo de Portugal schools: Estoril, Lisbon, and Setúbal . The atmosphere will be enlivened by a DJ who will unveil the lineups for the main summer festivals.
Hosted Buyers program consolidates B2B dimension.
Between February 25th and March 1st, the Hosted Buyers program will take place, organized in partnership with BTL and TAP , with the aim of strengthening the fair as a global marketplace in the B2B segment. On February 25th and 26th, pre-scheduled meetings will be held between national companies and approximately 200 buyers from 42 source markets, of which 114 are part of the contingent of hosted buyers invited by Turismo de Portugal and TAP.
Our own agenda highlights climate action and the Tourism Companies 360º Program.
On February 26th, at 11:00 AM, in the AVK Auditorium (Pavilion 5), Turismo de Portugal will present the main lines of action, strategic objectives, and methodological approach within the framework of the process of building the Agenda for Climate Action in Tourism 2030 , in alignment with the guiding principles of the future Tourism Strategy 2035. In the same space, at 4:30 PM, the PET 360º | ESG Engaged Experience session will take place – Companies that transform. People that inspire . This is an exclusive networking opportunity for members and partners of the Tourism Companies 360º Program, which includes the presentation of the program’s new Ambassadors.
Also on the morning of the 26th, between 10:30 am and 11:00 am, at the Better by AVK Stage (Pavilion 3), there will be a joint presentation of the FAROL and FOREST digital platforms , dedicated, respectively, to intelligent territory monitoring and corporate ESG reporting.
Broad participation in sector initiatives
The institutional presence extends to other moments in the BTL program. On the 26th, Turismo de Portugal will participate in the presentation of the CPLP Geoparks Network Forum (Geoparks stand), at 3:30 pm, and in the ceremonies for the Festival + Accessible and Beach + Accessible Awards , starting at 4:00 pm at the ERT Lisboa stand.
On February 27th, the agenda includes the presentation of FOREST at the ERT Algarve stand at 11:00 AM, participation in the 1st Meeting of the Ways of St. James in Portugal at 10:30 AM, and the presentation of the National Agenda “Discovering Industrial Tourism 2026” at 11:30 AM at the ERT Porto and North stand, as well as the presentation of the Tourism Companies 360º Program and FOREST at the BPI stand at 12:00 PM.
Through this coordinated participation between international promotion, climate action, technological innovation and the mobilization of companies and partners, Turismo de Portugal reinforces its commitment to a more competitive, sustainable and future-oriented tourism sector .
