Egypt’s hashtag#entrepreneurs are a fundamental pillar of development, true partners in policymaking, and a driving force for change and innovation…And so yesterday, we launched the much-awaited “hashtag#EgyptStartupCharter”!



As Chair of the Ministerial Group for Entrepreneurship, this Charter follows more than 50 ministerial and technical meetings, the participation of over 250 representatives from across the ecosystem, a review of international best practices, and an assessment of Egypt’s recommendations in global reports and indices, aimed at opening new horizons for hashtag#startups in Egypt; launched in parallel to RiseUp Summit.
The Charter features the National Startup ID; Legal Services Navigator for startups ; Scale-ups champion program tailored to the needs of each startup; A reform package of 80+ measures that includes clearer and faster procedures, business friendly infrastructure, access to the global market & more; An entrepreneurship policy observatory & a Catalytic Financial Initiative.
