An international symposium dedicated to the Golden Horde (Altın Orda) will be held in Astana, the capital of Kazakhstan, from May 18 to 21, 2026.
As part of the event, a press tour will be organized for representatives of foreign media. On May 18, participants will visit key cultural and historical sites of Astana. The program includes visits to the National Museum of Kazakhstan, the AlemAI Singularity Museum, the Baiterek Monument, and the Grand Mosque of the Republic.


The official opening of the symposium will take place on May 19 at the Palace of Independence. The event will feature discussions on the ethnopolitical history of the Golden Horde, the modern relevance of its heritage, cultural connections along the Great Silk Road, as well as issues related to tangible and intangible heritage.


The sessions will continue at Nazarbayev University, where discussions will cover history, archaeology, diplomacy, economic systems, and source studies.
As part of the program, participants will also attend a concert titled “Uly Dala Murasy” at the Astana Ballet Theatre.
