ITM 2026 came to an end, after four intense days of exchanges, meetings and discussions around the future of tourism in the Indian Ocean.
This edition addressed several major issues for our region, including the environmental challenges that our destinations are increasingly facing. More than ever, the preservation of our natural resources, heritage and human capital is essential to ensure sustainable tourism development.
Before leaving the show, we went to the 2026 Caterers’ World Cup – Africa Selection competition to greet and encourage the Mauritian team engaged in this great adventure.
A nod also to our compatriot Neezam Peeroo, member of the jury alongside Joël Mauvigney, Founding President of the Competition and Meilleur Ouvrier de France.
Thank you to Madagascar for its welcome, congratulations to the organizers of the ITM for this great edition, and thanks to the Association of the Vanilla Islands for its constant commitment to the influence and development of tourism in our region.
