TOURISM ORGANIZATIONS OF SERBIA AND SLOVAKIA SIGNED A MEMORANDUM OF COOPERATION

📜 The National Tourism Organization of Serbia and the National Tourism Organization of Slovakia – SLOVAKIA TRAVEL signed a Memorandum of Cooperation, which further strengthened the partnership between the two countries in the field of tourism and international promotion, especially in the context of preparations for the International Specialized Exhibition EXPO 2027 Belgrade.

The memorandum was signed by the Director of the Tourist Organization of Serbia, Marija Labovic, and the Director of the National Tourism Organization of Slovakia, Matej Fekete, and the document is a continuation of the talks held in early November 2025, when TOS hosted a high-level delegation of Slovakia, including the Commissioner for EXPO 2027, Lukas Parizek, and the Ambassador of Slovakia to Serbia, Michal Pavuk.

🖋️ Slovakia is the first country to officially sign up to participate in EXPO 2027, thus providing strong support to Serbia as the host of this global event.

The Memorandum defines specific forms of cooperation: joint promotional tours, marketing and media campaigns, as well as coordinated appearances in international markets, with a special focus on distant markets such as the People’s Republic of China and the United States. Special emphasis was placed on the Danube, as a natural link between Serbia and Slovakia and the basis for the development of joint tourist products. 🌊

The cooperation will be further intensified during 2026 through promotional events, study tours, media activities and joint international appearances.

📍 EXPO 2027 will be held in Belgrade from May 15 to August 15, 2027, under the theme “Game for Humanity – Sport and Music for All”, and more than 130 countries have confirmed their participation so far, which makes this event one of the most important international events in the next decade.
